The Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos) is celebrated on November 1 and 2 in Mexico and around the world as a time to gather and remember friends and family who have died.  It is celebrated by bringing photos, gifts, favorite food and beverages to the gravesites of loved ones as a way of encouraging their souls to visit.

In 2008, our CHAI-tini recipe won a first place award in the Freestyle Mar-TEA-ni category at the World Tea Expo using our liquid concentrate.  Since then, we have improved and perfected the recipe and adapted it to use one or the other of our instant Tipu’s Chai Now™ products.  Ring in the New Year with a creamy, delicious CHAI-tini!

Chai Spiced Apple “Samosas”

Apple Samosas

OK, so these aren’t “traditional” samosas.  But we used to make these little fellas or something like them at the restaurant for our New Year’s Eve dinner and they were a great hit.  They are a delicious dessert or a great addition to New Year’s Day breakfast.  And they can be made ahead of time and baked up fresh when you are ready to serve them.
